Hi,
I’m 27, with a BS in Computer Science, in demand NOC 21231 (Software Engineers and Designers), and over 1 year of foreign work experience in primary occupation. My CRS score is 405. Have no job offer. My uncle and his family are Canadian citizens in Alberta. Could you please advise which AAIP streams I might be eligible for?

None right now. AINP is closed. Plus focus has not been on family connection (small draws this year of a 100 people or so) but on CRS score and NOC. So having family connection in Alberta is not an advantage anymore. Focus on improving score to over 500.

I haven't created my Express Entry (EE) profile yet; the score is based on the EE calculator for now. I plan to submit my profile in January 2025 and want to know which same AAIP streams I might be eligible for then. Also, will my connection help with the (family connection and in-demand occupation) draws? I ask because it seems they only consider parents, children, or siblings.

First are you even eligible for Express Entry with 67 selection points? You don’t have family connection in Alberta. At this time Alberta is not an option as it is revamping its programs. Focus is on the AOS stream for those working and studying in Alberta. So don’t plan on Alberta with such a low score unless you are in healthcare. IT market in Canada is oversaturated with IT professionals out of work. People with Canadian Masters in Comp Sci/IT cannot even find work so focus will be on in demand skill areas - healthcare, trades etc.

If you really want to come to Canada (may not work in IT) then learn French to CLB 7 (same as English score).

Yes, my FSW score is 70 atm because of CLB9. I've an uncle who lives in Alberta, will this be considered in this type of draw?

No. Uncle is not your immediate nor extended family so parent, child, sibling. And as I said, Alberta has not been selecting those with family connections anyways.

The family connection he has does not give him any advantage. What they are looking for is parent, child, or sibling.
Family connection is still a selection factor and is an advantage if it fits the criteria.

What are the chances for EE candidate with 428 CRS and 41 as eoi score in AAIP under family (real sister ) with noc in demand (21232)?
Please help to understand.
