I have a 4 year old. In Ontario, they can start kindergarten at 4.. in Calgary it starts at 5 years.. so thats a downer for me because I already have him in preschool here in KSA.
Schools also have a fee registration and bus fee, and from what I read, there are wait lists for the good schools in the northwest and southwest.. if you dont register early, same goes for daycares and after/before school care.
Also depends on your area and where you live is considered when register to a school..
If we go to Calgary, at least we have 1 year to find a school and register :S
Hope that helps a bit..

Thinkin said:Well it is very valuable as it gives me an idea how children and young adults view Calgary. Good to know you like it there inspite the cold. Can I ask from where did you move to Calgary? Also what do you feel about the schools there? I have a 2 year old son, so any update on the schools in Calgary would help. Thank you.
