where to send the passport and how to know which embassy is processing ?

Hi All,

I received the passport request today. but i am not sure , where to send my passport. here is my situation:

I am living in Taiwan from last 3 year. and my agent applied online for me. she says , she requested hongkong embassy to process this application. as i am in taiwan.

Now i got passport request and the letter does not say any thing specific about where to send , they provided a link and say check on this link. based on Q9 in application form.

Q9 : country where applying: same as current country of residence ? i clicked on "NO"
and then choose "India"

based on the question 9 Answer in application form. i am supposed to send the passport to india. but do not know where in india.

Now , i asked my agent and she says , she requested for HongKong Embassy based on my location. And i also submitted my all document from Taiwan. Medical and police report all got accepted and passed after that only i got passport request.

Online system does not show , which embassy is processing my application Hongkong or India. So now , sending passport to india means i need to travel , as mail is illegal. so can some one please suggest me , what to do in this situation. is there any way to send passport to india. ? How to know which embassy is processing my application ?

please help . my agent do not have much information beyond this point.

Hi User1982,

You need to ask your agent because she is the one process your application online, so it is her responsibilities to see through your case. Also, if CIC have provide you the link, you can just log in and check where you need to send your passport.

When your passport is request, if you have a High Commission of Canada Visa Office in the country you reside, you can send your passport to that Visa Office for immigration visa to be stamp.

In the event, there is no High Commission of Canada in the country you are currently reside, there should be a VFS office to help you to send your passport to the right Visa Office to stamp your immigration visa. Below is the link:-

But I would strongly advice you to talk to your agent again before you send out your passport.
