Where to send passport for permanent resident visa issuing while studying Canada

Hi everyone,

I need your help with my family situation as below
I sponsored my parents under family sponsorship application and my sister is dependent child. She is currenly studing in Canada under student visa. The application has been processed by Singapore visa office. They recently requested the passports of 3 family memebers. So I submited my sister passport to Case processing center in Ottawa. It has been for a week and they never return her passport. I wonder if I should just send my parents passport to Singapore as my mother is the principle applicant. Any one ever experienced this situation, please advise! Thank you so much!

The letter request letter should have specified where to send the passports (or photo copy of the passport page if applicable).

The request letter provided general information. It mentioned if you live in some specific countries then submitted to those areas and if you reside in Canada and planned to stay than more than 3 months then submit to Case Processing center in Ottawa. The thing is my sister is not principle applicant. And my parents are living in Viet Nam.

Hi my file also is in Singapore .. but they told me if i am living in canada right now i can send it to Ottawa ..and that's what i did .. and Ottawa takes a month to return passport ..so if its just been a week then u have to wait 3 more weeks to get it back..sometimes they send it back earlier but the regular time frame written on my letter was 1 month ..

Thanks for your information, are you the principal applicant? Did they instruct you on the request letter to submit at CIC Ottawa?

yes i am the principle applicant ... ad yes it was instructed in the request letter to submit it to cpc-ottawa-pr if i am living in canada right now
