Where to live in Canada?

I received ITA and I am preparing my documents. I have never been to Canada but lived in Michigan, US.

I love nature and rural areas but I am an automotive engineer so I need to settle down to a place close to Industry (I guess). Can you guys suggest me a place to live in Canada suitable for a family with young kids.

When crossing the border from Detroit, Michigan to Windsor, Ontario; you would actually have to travel SOUTH.

Toronto? You can live in a GTA municipality like Vaughan, Richmond Hill or Markham which has a bit of automotive business and bit of nature & rural areas both; and your kids can easily find a school too. what about Oshawa? If you want to move to a (relatively) warmer area, consider a Vancouver-area municipality.
