It can be anywhere you like. It doesn't matter.

Best of Luck.

Hi,

Visa officer might ask you the reason for landing there.
So be prepared with the answer.

Good Luck.

What kind of questions they ask? Can they refuse the permit just because one is landing in some other province?

They won't refuse your permit. If they ask, you can just say that the flight was cheaper/more convenient and that you will be connecting to Vancouver, or that you were stopping to visit some friends/family before proceeding to your college.

it really doesn't matter coz the visa you have obtained is not for a province, it's for canada. you are free to roam anywhere in Canada. I was accepted for a program in windsor, but I landed 3 months ahead of my schedule and that too in toronto. hence, no issues.

Cheers!

If you are flying from Karachi, Cathay Pacific has an excellent connection to Vancouver via Hong Kong. Overall, since there are so few places planes land from Middle East or Pakistan (Toronto and Montreal only), as long as you have a connecting flight to your destination; no one should care.

I can't speak for Canada, but US does not give a crap about where you land. Everyone knows students are trying to save money :-)

I don't know much in this matter, but I cant see any reason why you landing at some othr city would be a problem.
Chill!

I got accepted at a school in Vancouver too. Which school are you going? when are you going to leave for the school?

Thanks! I have been admitted to Douglas and I'll be there in August. But before that I'll be staying with my relatives in Calgary.

Congratulations. I got accepted to Adler School of Professional Psychology in Vancouver. I just applied for my visa yesterday. I hope i get it.

Hey,

you said you landed 3 months ahead of your schedule.....do you mean you had deferred a term and did not go there during that term? and then you landed at around the start of next term right?

Is only a deferred admission letter enough in this case or did you inform CIC or embassy about that?

what VO asked you at port of entry? do you need some 'documentation regarding the reason' of coming 1 term late?

Regards...

there are no issues if you land toronto or vancouver

And i strongly agreee with travelling salesman
Cathay Pacific is the best option and choice now a days
if you want to go to vancouver,,,

My bro went Vancouver in 2011 and he said his experience was good

there is short stop over duration , just 3-4 hours and there is no change of airlines , so a major plus point ,,, :)
biggest advantage its cheaper :) :) :)
