Hye everyone,

As i had already received my Stamped passports and confirmation of permanent residence form (CPR), at the CPR, destination column shows Toronto (ON), the place which i filled in my immigration application. But now i want to land at Calgary or Edmonton. Can i do that? Or, i need to first land at the Toronto and stamped my CPR Form there and then can move to Edmonton.

Seecondily, what ever money whether in CAD form, traveller's cheque, currency card which i supposed to be carrying with me, needs to be shown on the passport.I mean that all the currency needs to be entered on the passport or not or only currency notes are needs to be entered.

Thanx

For skilled worker, it is not important if you land in Toronto or some other city outside Quebec. You can land in Calgary or Edmonton if you want to.

I do not know what you mean about money being entered in your passport. You will need to declare to customs if you are carrying more than $10,000 and when you tell them you are a landing PR, you will have to show your funds.

Hi duggalca,

You can land anywhere except quebec.
No, you do not need the forex to me marked in the passport. That used to me necessary a long time ago when travelling abroad, now its no longer required to be followed. I would suggest carry as little cash as possible ( maybe a few 100 dollars) and get the rest in TC, better still if you can leave it in the bank and just carry a statement.
Good luck.

Hi duggalca

just out of curosity, why u want to land in edmonton/calgary instead of toronto? i believe toronto has more oppurtunities for accounting professional than these 2 cities.

regards.

Thanks guys, I am just an ordinary person. I am glad that my post helped and would love to be more active but I am so tied up with work that I hardly get time for myself let alone get on the internet.

We humans complain for everything, dont we. We complain when we had no work and we complain when we have lots of it,lol.

That's so very true, Josh.
All the best to u, buddy!

Ps.: Can u kindly clear your 'inbox' so that we can PM u & u could reply at your convenience?

Well said but we should keep going, don't know when we achieve our true goal that will bring us satisfaction. Good luck in 2010.
