As an immigrant landing in Canada for the first time, should I land on the province where i said my destination would be in the initial application form for immigrant visa (which is Nova Scotia) or can i land anywhere in Canada (like Ontario) despite of the intended destination in my application form?

are they going to indicate that in my Visa? i haven't received it yet. i'm expecting to receive it next week.

Thank you!

You can land anywhere in Canada provided you are not there on provincial nomination.

thank you nano! :)

Hi Baby_gurl

In which country are you from?
In which occupation did you apply?
Are u applied in provincial nominee program?

Your case is finalized to fast. what is the reason?

Well, since she is filipino, I guess she is a nurse...:P

I think you should land in the same city(region) that you applied to.. If not I think the immigration officer in the airport will kick you out of the country... Do not listen to others, even seniors...Why? because no one in here can read the officer's mind...He is free to do whatever he thinks. This is the point of applying to specific city...If it doesn't matter, why do u think they asked you in the first place?

My advise, land in NS, settle there for a bit then move to Ontario

Please someone who has landed give the correct information on landing. Can we land anywhere othe than written in the initial form?
Its getting confused from different responses in the fom. Please can someone clear it for sure.

I was suspecting that. and I have been considering that option since it is the smarter n more practical choice given that my only relative is in n.s.

I just really want to move to Ontario instead.

thanks for the advice.
