I am not able to know where to get the immigration photos done while submiting application to Visa office under Skilled workers category. i am staying in US. i have checked with many outlets like walmart , USPS, CVS, sears etc. they all do 2 *2 and not 1*13/8 as specified for canadian immi. Please advise.

Where are you sending the photos? Is this to Buffalo? Because for CIC Sydney-first stage you dont need to send the photos.

I went to CVS and took photos and then cut myself it according to the dimension needed (Make sure the face dimentions matched what they have mentioned... most of US passport photos match)

Photo size 35 by 45

yes i know the size required is 35 by 45 but if i had that size i would have sent the photo directly to the visa office :) .
what size we need to send to the website epassportphoto.com so that they can trim it accordingly as no on is doing it at the outlets with this size. you got my point. Let me know . Thanks.

you upload a pic and they will print it out for you (unless you have a photo printer then you could do it at home).

I uploaded a picture, and ordered prints for 35x45. Then i cut them myself after receiving htem.

will cutting the photos ok? did they accept your photos ?Thanks.

you can cut the photos provided your cut photos still fit the requirement.

Yes, that's a big problem in the US. Their machines are set to print only 2 by 2 photos. I went to many places here but they were not able to print 35 by 45. I found a photo salon. His machine was able to print it but the photographer didn't know how to take photos correctly to fit that size. We took photos and printed them. Coming home I saw that the photo had a shadow which is not accepted by the embassy. I went to the guy again and asked him to take new photos. He was almost crying not knowing what to do. Finally we took 2 by 2 photos and just cut them to fit Canadian standards. As a rusult it cost me $50, two days of wasted time and a headache. Sucks:)))

What I did was scan an old passport photo of myself, uploaded that on epassportphoto.com and ordered the correct sizes. Then i cut them myself. It wasn't too bad.

Tried different photoshops initially to get the right size like kinkos, etc and none would do CIC required sizes. E-passportphotos turned out to be good. Well on the other hand, i don't have my PR yet so don't know if they will find some fault with it.

I don't think they will process the case if the photos are no good. I guess they will hold the case and ask for new photos. That's what I read on their website.

Thanks guys for your valuable advice . i finally got it done after many days of tussle . went to "Picture People" studio , luckily the lady there said she has done it before. She took the photographs and then managed to match the spefications for both overall size and chin to crown size. got it done for $15 for 4 photos . Thanks a lot.
