Where to get education documents assessed?

Hello,

I am in the UK, please can someone tell me where to get my educational documents checked? I have seen WES, and it will cost over $299 and is sent to Canada. Are there any others? Do they have to be sent to Canada?

I used University of Toronto.
Yes all of them require that you send diplomas and transcripts to Canada...

oh ok thanks. But how long did it take you altogether? I need to submit my skilled worker application asap before Jan 2015 (when they new immigration process begins). I am wondering if I should bother, as it seems I am out of time. I saw that the WES takes 20 days to process, thats not even including the time it will take for my degrees/transcripts to be received by them, since they have to be posted to them.

you are right.. WES takes from 1 days to 2 weeks after they open your documents. if your universities are reputed one ( where WES has previous experience of verifying the details ) it may be done in 1 day . in my case it was a reputed one and it took me total of 17 days ( from my sending date to receiving date) . so why not wait till express entry launches. however u can send your docs to WES now.. it will be mostly useful for the Express entry system too.
