Where to define the visa office to process the application

Hello,

I am doing a family class sponsorship for permanent residency (outland). One of the points is about selecting the visa office that will process my application (after the sponsor has been approved).

Where do I select the visa office I want my application to be sent to? (In my case I can choose between Paris and Vienna, and I want to make sure it goes to Paris).

I have checked all the forms, but I cannot find a question or box to select the visa office.

Do I have to write the visa office on my application envelope or where does this information go?

Thanks a lot

There is no question for this because you don't get to choose, CIC makes the decision.

After sponsor is approved in CPC-Mississauga, CIC will then forward your app to the outland visa office based either on your citizenship or residency. You can write a cover letter if you want explaining you want it to go to Paris (assuming you qualify for processing there), but in the end it's CIC's choice and they may not follow your wishes and send it to Vienna.

Thanks a lot for the feedback.

I guess I will have to emphasize in a cover letter that I really want Paris.
