Hi,
So my situation is, I'm on a work permit which is expiring on June 13th. I've submitted an LMO and CAQ application but don't expect to hear back until end of July. CIC have advised me to submit an application to Vegreville to extend my work permit within 2 weeks of it expiring even though I don't have the LMO/CAQ. This will give me the implied status I need to carry on working.
Once I do get the LMO/CAQ can I just drive down to the border and get my new work permit there and then? Or do I need to wait for Vegreville to process it and send it in the post seeing as I will already have applied to them?
The concern is that my health card expired at the same time as my work permit and every day I don't have a work permit will cost me money in health insurance.
Thanks
