Hey all,

As I will be landing in Toronto next week, one of the open question on which I have not found a good answer yet is what kind of stores Canada has where I could buy furniture for my apartment.

I know that Toronto also has an IKEA branch for example. What kind of other, similar brands and stores do sell furniture in Toronto/Canada where you have to chance to walk-in and check the products before you buy them?

Just want to know where I should start to search once I want to get my apartment furnished.

Thanks in advance!

Leons and The Brick are both large, have a number of showrooms and sell mediocre furniture.

As already said, Leons and The Brick are good stores.
They have everything you would need to furnish your apartment.

The other good option could be kijiji.ca
This is Canadian version of ebay and have very good listings of furnitures and everything by owners selling their stuff.
When I came, I bought everything from here (Except mattress) and got good condition stuff at meager prices (You don't pay 13% tax here :))

So if your budget is tight, I would suggest you can start browsing thru even before you land and keep a look out ads from the area where you plan to live.

Happy hunting.
Hope it will be of help

Thanks to both of you for your suggestions :)
