Indian Citizen. Bachelor's of Technology (4 years) in Computer Science. Then 1.5 years of work experience in India as Programmer Analyst. Master's degree (1.5 years) in Management Information Systems from US university. Later, 2 years work experience in US as Staff Consultant. Currently on H1B in US, but on bench since a month. So no payslips from February. Will not have payslips until I get a project.

1) Even though I may qualify for Alberta H1B, not having recent pay stubs may be an issue in my case. I can produce past W-2, offer letter, I-797, employment verification letter from current company etc. Anyone has experience sending application with out recent pay stubs?

2) If I decide to go for FSW or any other PNP, should I send the application to an office in Canada or US or India? I would prefer which ever office where my application can be processed faster.

Any other suggestions for my situation are appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

2) send application initially to Sydney without documentation. once they say okay, then you send to buffalo or new delhi. I would suggest buffalo.

Thanks for the reply. Is it true that processing times in India for FSW may take around 5 years, but only 2 years in US?

Also, if I send it to Buffalo, I am guessing they may ask me to send it instead to my home country. So I need some luck in there, right?

actually buffalo may not be the best option. I don't know what is.
If you ask for buffalo while you are in the US on your current visa, you will definitely get buffalo.
BUT, if you have to leave the US, you can ask your processing to be moved to delhi. This will result in some delay while your file gets moved and its at their discretion to move it. If they don't move it and buffalo asks you to come for an interview, you would have to come back here. On the other hand, if you apply to Delhi and you remain in the US, and they ask you to come for an interview in Delhi, then you would have to go to delhi (with the cost, etc).

There is a new process in place since last november, so we don't know how long it takes in either buffalo or delhi. Most people would agree that buffalo will be shorter or equal to delhi in general.

Thanks Rupeshhari for your replies.

I will be in US until Dec 2009 of this year for sure. And I have no problem coming to Buffalo later just for interview. (I have quite a few miles in my frequent flyer account to get atleast a couple international round trip tickets). Only question is how many days ahead will I get a notice for interview? (so I can plan my trip)

Also, provided I take IELTS exam in future and get a decent score, is it okay to ask for interview waiver? I mean, in general, does asking for interview waiver have any positive or negative impact on the application?

you cant ask for interview waiver (as far as i know). The interview is not there to test your english.

The question about coming back to US is also to do with getting a US visa to enter the US.
