Hi,

I've worked in Canada for 20 months as an independant contractor for my company (but I was not self-employee and I have T4 and pay taxes) and they just offered me a Full time position without LMO.

I want to apply for the PR, what is the best category to apply in my case ?
Skilled workers, LMO is mandatory ?

Thanks

The employer must get an approved AEO from HRSDC if you want to apply under FSW2.

The AEO is as painful as LMO for a company ? They have to do the same things than LMO (prove they can't hire a Canadian) ?
Because they can't give me an LMO they don't want to go through this painful process.

PMM, if he was to work for another 4 months he would have two years, then could he apply with Canadian Experience? Did I read somewhere recently that they are talking about decreasing CEC to 12 months? Sorry, temile, I am talking off the top of my head as I've had no experience with this stream, but it gives you something to look into. In hind sight, realize this doesn't answer your question about job offer you've been given. Good luck.
