Where should I send Passport??

they asked to follow step 1 & Step 2 process ...

I don't know what step 1 and step 2 process means? You are already approved as a sponsor, right ? do you have more information on what they want? hope it's not a delay, but positive news for you!

Basically Step 1 & Step 2 procedure are for those who applied in London Office, like my family class case was filed in London as I was in UK but my visa expired and I came back to Pakistan. Now they sent me PPR in email and asked me to send my passport to London. I sent my Passport to Islamabad High Commission because Pakistan passport can't be mailed or send through any other person except me. At the same time I sent CHC London email for this.

What Happened,

- Got call from CHC Islamabad that they returning passport as they are not authorised. they said to send required dox to London with Passport copy. then they will authorise ISB High Commission to issue visa

- Same day got email from CHC London asking to send Passport copy, form to them..

Ya It's a month delay. because it takes time may be a month for CHC London to Authorize CHC Islamabad to issue Visa

In my Case it will be a little more delay coz my medical expiring on 9th December 2012

Look CHC London is complete package of fools .. why?
- I told them in July 2012 that I am in Pakistan coz of my UK Visa expired
- CHC London was aware of that, and stupids asked me to send passport to London. its illegal to send passports out of Pakistan.
- l sent them email and then they replied asking for copy of passport, completed form. after an hour of that, they sent another email that my medical expiring and they wont be able to issue visa and I have to do re medical. asked me to attach IMM 1017 also .

anyways .. I have done my medical now and today I have sent all docs to London

Now waiting for their email asking me to send passport to Islamabad High Commission which is PPR2 ( Stage 2 )

31/10/2012 - CHC London asked me to send Passport (Issue of PPR)
31/10/2012 - I sent them email that its not possible to post passport out of Pakistan
01/11/2012 - I sent Passport to High Commission Islamabad
02/11/2012 - Passport received by ISB High Commission
08/11/2012 - Got call from ISB High Commission to follow Stage 1 & Stage 2 procedure
08/11/2012 - Got email from CHC London to send Passport Copy & Complete Form to them in 45 days
08/11/2012 - Got another email after an hour to do medical again and attach IMM1017 with docs
10/11/2012 - Received my unstamped passport back from ISB High Commission
10/11/2012 - Called IOM for medical Appointment
15/11/2012 - Did medical IOM Lahore
16/11/2012 - Sent passport copy, photographs, form, IMM1017 to CHC London

Hi ..

I received my passport request today. My case was being processed in London and my UK Visa expired and I came back to Pakistan. I notified them about it with change of address. Now in Letter they are asking me to send passport to London office.

Do you guys have any idea that DHL will take my passport to UK ? or I have to send my passport to Islamabad High Commission..

Currently, I am in the UK but my visa here expires in January and so I will be travelling back to Pakistan some time in December. I have inquired about the status of my application and they say it is undergoing background checks.
I am now worried because of the timing:

1. I will need my passport to travel back to Pakistan.
2. My classes in Canada start in January and any delay will mean I will be late or worse I will have to defer my admission

Can I ask you, which form did you complete and send to CHC London along with passport copies?
I'm hoping that I get my visa in time but if not, I'm thinking that I might be able to do like you did and ask CHC London to communicate with CHC Islamabad.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!

- when you leave UK. Just send them an email about your UK visa and change of your address. Also clearly mention in your email that you will be in Pakistan after your visa expires and you can only send passport to chc Islamabad. Ask them to send you stage 1 & 2 instructions.

I hope that this procedure is also applicable for study permit applications. I'm really worried about this delay now...

Things might be different in your case as you have applied for study permit and submitted to passport with you application. Well... I cant comment on how you can take your passport back to travel .. The best thing to do is send London office email and let them know what your situation is . Please use following pattern to send email to them
