Does anybody know if they accept public drop-offs in the Case Processing Centre at Mississauga, Ontario?

I have relatives in Mississauga and wanted to know if they can drop the papers for me in the PO Box indicated in CIC website.

CPC Mississauga
P.O. Box 6100, Station A
Mississauga, ON
L5A 4H4

Does anybody know the exact address of this place?

I tried Google Maps and they have different addresses for "P.O. Box 6100, Station A, Mississauga, ON L5A 4H4" and "Mississauga, ON L5A 4H4". So I don't know which one it is.

Canada Post website has no new info.

Thanks a lot in advance

In person drop offs are not allowed. Mail / courier is your only option.

There is no drop off box. It has to be mail in. :'(

Well, a Courier is doing exactly that... Dropping it off, right?

Thanks for the previous replies...

scylla and vietname2013, how do you know it can't be delivered in person? any personal experience? any CIC reference? any source?

groovebuster, the address you mentioned is the one for courier deliveries which specifically says "no public drop-offs" in CIC page CIC website /english/information/offices/canada/mississauga.asp. I am trying to find an accurate and precise address for the standard mail delivery address P.O. Box 6100, Station A, Mississauga, ON, L5A 4H4. I mean I need an address with a street name and a number for this PO Box... let's say you live in Mississauga and you want to stop by and try to deliver something, or at least ask something.

Does anybody know a phone number of the Case Processing Centre in Mississauga? (I already searched a lot, even called a couple of numbers unsuccessfully 1-888-242-2100 and 1-905-803-7904)

Thanks again

PS: Sorry I can't provide CIC webpage links, this forum apparently does not allow me to.

Again - you cannot stop by in person. Either to ask something or to deliver something. Time to time someone on this forums tries and they always fail. It can't be done.

Your choices are courier or regular post if you want something delivered.

If you have a question - call the CIC call centre. The number is: 1-888-242‑2100. You might have to try several times before you get through. Try calling as soon as they open at 8am.

Yes - courier truck pulls up at a loading dock and drops off mail in bulk. There's no place to just "walk in".

Hi Adal,

My reason for dropping the package off is that I live in Mississauga. I wanted to save the $20 postal charge. When I read the note "no public drop-offs", I couldn’t trouble myself with the search. I just dropped it off at Canada Post. It was there in no time at all, probably in 48 hours the package was delivered. Don’t trouble yourself with the search; it’s probably better that do as they say. Millions of package files has been process the same way, yours probably wouldn’t be any different.

I'm about to send off my application today but don't know which of the two addresses to send it to.

Case Processing Centre – Mississauga
P.O. Box 3000, Station A
Mississauga, Ontario
L5A 4N6

or

Case Processing Centre – Mississauga
2 Robert Speck Parkway,
Suite 300
Mississauga, ON
L4Z 1H8

The CIC website says to use the second address if sending the application by private courier. Is Canada Post considered private courier?

Please help.

Thank you.

I don't think so. I sent my package to the first address via Canada Post Xpresspost.

That I will do. Hopefully they don't lose it.

Thank you.

Buy insurance if you want a peace of mind. They have tracking numbers, so the package arrived in matter of hours. Canada post seems quite reliable from my personal experience. It not a long distance delivery with many transfer zone, so getting to and from should be fairly safe. :)

Insurance is good if the contents of the package are valuable monetary-wise. The better thing to do is to make sure your package is trackable and needs to be signed for. Xpresspost falls into this category.
