You can certify your relationship with your parents.
If you don't have either one of them, you would be rejected.

As per the CIC website, PGP admission levels set at 20,000 in 2014:
cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/backgrounders/2013/2013-10-29a.asp

As per another forum, the application submitted on June 2010 have been processed:
canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/2010-parents-sponsorship-applicants-join-here-t186409.420.html

Now only application ahead of 2014 applications are submitted from Jun 2010 till Nov 2011. Providing the quote remains 20,000 for 2015 and if the number of applications between Jun2010 and Nov2011 is about 15000 (plus 5000 application for 2014 equals 20,000) then 2014 applications could be processed by the end of 2015. And providing the quote remain 20,000 for 2015/6 and if the number of application between Jun2010 and Nov2011 is about 35000 (plus 5000 application for 2014 equals 40,000) then 2014 application could be processed by the end of 2016. Any comments/thoughts???

additional document request was sent to about 20000 applicants in July 2014 who applied between June 2010-Apr 2011. they will work on these files before sending letters to the people who applied in May 2011-Nov 2011.
They have only just begun to transfer the June2010-Apr 2011 applications to the LVO after sponsorship approval.

As on July 2, 2014 72K persons (i guess it includes 2014 applicants) were in queue for permanent residence. If 12K persons get PR in 2014, then we are left with 60K persons. With 20K persons admitted every year, 2014 applications will be finalized in 2017.

Did you ask any representative in the cic about the timeline? i can see in their website that there are two stages should be added together the 44 months sponsorship assesment and the sponsored assessment which is another long months depends on the country. Based on this info it might take 9 years!

There is only one step for the applicants after 2014.

Hoping someone can help...I called CIC in Jan to tell them that they entered my mother's address incorrect into the system and they told me they couldn't access the application and that I should email CIC Mississauga. I emailed them on Jan 5 and 2 months later I have yet to receive a reply. Has anyone used their Canadian address to receive documents for their parents? I am worried that when they will eventually send stuff the address will be wrong.

Quick question for you guys....I applied for my parents in 2014 january as well.

Now my family status has changed and I also want to send them Option C printout (I sent them NoA) when I applied. My adress has also changed since.

How do I go about doing this and updating CIC? Do I send them a mail with the file number from the AOR email. or should I email them?

Any help and suggestion would be greatly appreciated guy.

What two steps are?
Before the sponsorship and applications had been doing from different offices and one step at a time. 2014 and 2015 applicants sent in both sponsorship and application documents at same time, also all the other documents that usually would be required on second step.
Is it a sign for reducing the whole processing time?

missmywife,

This is the extract from the AOR I recvd.:

"When should I contact CIC?

You must notify Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) of any changes to your application. Examples of changes include:

· Changes in your personal circumstances, such as birth or adoption of a child, death of a family member, a marriage or a divorce;
· Change of contact information (e-mail, mailing address, telephone number);
· Appointment or change of immigration representative or designated individual;
· Decision to withdraw your application."

So, obviously you have got to inform CIC with documentary proof along with the revised IMM form where the INFORMATION regarding the change is to be incorporated.

Hope, this may assist.

Good luck !!

Hi All,

Any ideas by when can we expect PR for our parents?

My parents application accepted in 2014 and I got AOR in Jun-2014.
