Of course, I don't have access to all the information, it's just based on what I've seen. But from what I've seen, if you want the OWP, paper is a better option. Online applicants have to wait for AOR first, and many of them seem to be waiting 4-5 months for the AOR, while paper has been getting AOR pretty quickly, and then OWP within the pre-COVID times of 3-4 months. But, unfortunately, paper won't be an option starting September 23rd, so you'd have to submit before then. If you need maintained status, the paper application is probably a better as you can't benefit from maintained status until the OWP is submitted.

We wanted the OWP so we applied on paper.

No worries. I think it's an important consideration. Online seems like a better option, but the lack of maintained status is a serious concern - especially when so many are waiting ages for AOR.

Has anyone received OWP after applying online (after receiving spousal PR AOR)? I am trying to get a sense of the timelines for paper vs online. I see a lot of paper applications receiving OWP. But none for Online applications really

Hi, Everyone!
I have a question.

While I was applying for PR, I paid for PR as well as OWP.
Now, that I am applying for OWP, there is no option to select that I have already paid for my OWP. It is asking for 255 to be paid at the end of the application.
Can i select the option, i am exempt and explain how i have already paid and attach the receipt.
Or should I pay again and ask for a refund later?
