not at all.my husband is self employed running his own gas stations and trucking company. so for employees permanent resident like lmo stuff or ainp ,yearly tax stuff etc.we already had a two law firms working for us.so what's the harm if itz free..lolz

you can have anyone as your insurance beneficiary (the beneficiary does not have to be living in the same country).

you can buy a life insurance and add your spouse's name as the beneficiary. check with yuor insurance agent.

if you are employed, add your spouse's name with your employer. may be your employer can provide some documentation where your spouse is listed.

When did you get married ? What is your occupation ?

For example, if you recently did a job switch or started a new occupation which has a requirement of insurance, you can say you did not need insurance earlier. Also, if you married recently - you can only add a spouse after marriage. Let's say you married a year ago and just purchased an insurance and added your spouse this might raise questions.

You can submit your file and purchase insurance later and update cic with new documentation (a few months after the purchase).
