When to send app for new FSW 1st july 2012

Hi all,

I am planning to apply for fsw this coming july , insha ALLAH, on behalf of my wife,under NOC 3152,registered nurse,but as i hear this noc was filled in just 10 days, and in canada they will have 1st and 2nd of july as national holiday, shall i send the documents on 26 or 27th of june to avoid the rush.....even if i do, there is a chance of cic changes to 2012 applicants that wont be released before 1 july.......i am confused can someone give me some ideas on this plz

Let me ask a few questions that will get your answer.

Have you prepared all the documents? If yes then you do not have to wait for any documents.
Is all documents with IELTS ready and do they qualify for 67 points at least? Then you have the package ready?
Can you afford the Cost of the courier to send the documents? If you are preparing for FSW then I don't think spending about $50 on courier charges should not be a big amount.

So let us evaluate the situation:

1. You send the application on 26th June, It reaches on time, the NOC is in category you make it in the Cap.
2. You send the application on 26th June, It reaches on time, the NOC is not in the list, it will be sent back to you and there will be no problems.
3. You send the application after 1st July, the application reaches just before the cap is filled no problems.
4. You send the application after 1st July, the application reaches after the cap is filled then the application will be sent back.

So you have to choose the scenario and decide if you want to send it by 26th or 27th June or after 1st July. I am sending my application by 27th so it reaches there by either 2nd or 3rd July. Most likely the list would be out by 25th June or so.

Just a small suggestion...

I know that we all are very excited for July 1st...I m in the same boat

I would suggest waiting till June 30 for any news as on the website as they have stated "If new Ministerial Instructions are not issued before July 1, 2012, the current cap of 10,000 new applications will re-set on that date".

No one knows what will these new Ministerial Instructions consist off, if any.

i am sending it in for the same NOC through a consultant in the US , hopefully he won't mess things up and NOC will still be on the list!

then you will not be able to send the application again (incorporating new requirements) as the Ielts original wil not be there(unless u get a duplicate)

If you are see the records for last three years they have not changed the format of the application, the last time they changed was when they changed to process to submit all documents to CIC, the only minor changes have been for the betterment of the applicant like removing the need to send transcript in University sealed envelope as many applicant had issues getting it form universities. Based on this I can safely assume there will not be any major changes and even if they plan to change things they will put it up on their website at least a week earlier.

You can always go to the agency which conducted the IELTS to get a duplicate copy of the transcript, there have been many cases as mentioned in IELTS thread.

A Hard question? last year we had new on June 26th, could be changes in NOC more or less NOC, also changes in the cap 500 or 1000 again, we don know exactly, we should wait for the next days.

however, I personally will wait for any updates till July 1st, then apply.

If you send the application on June 26 and it arrives in Sydney before July 2nd, it will be returned.

Thanks for your inputs PMM your inputs are always welcome and appreciated. I mentioned sending the application on 26th June because the last time I sent the application from India it takes 5-6 days using DHL or Aramax. adding the time to 26th the application would reach by 2nd or 3rd July.

Everyone will have to decide according to the time it takes by courier, so it is their decision as to when to send the application by courier.

Thanks all for ur inputs, but remember one thing, on 2nd and 3rd july goverment offices have holiday becuz of a national day celebration in canada,how can this evfect the release of new FSW MI,

If i would be you than i will keep all my documents ready and wait for new changes,as soon they arrive i will send my package..it takes about a weak by dhl to get package deliver,if there would any changes than your package will be returned,in my opinion its better wait for new instructions and keep your whole documents ready,

wonder which courier service is faster........Emirates Post or DHL .......i never used DHL .....besides....i keep wondering how the documents will reach CIC sydney on either 1st or 2nd of july while the office is closed ,so courier will delay it till maybe 3 or 4th of july.....am I right or wrong...!!!
