When to leave Canada? On passport date or work permit date

Hello all, thanks in advance for the help.

I'm in Toronto right now, I entered the country on Jul-2018, when I entered, the migration officer stamp a "Must Leave" date in my passport, after a few months I received my open work permit which has a different "Must Leave" date (longer stay) and I don't know if I should leave the country and re enter to comply with the date in the passport or if I can stay till the date of my work permit.
