When to get medical??

Hi friends,
I got file number in mar 04 and submitted updationa in Aug 08. Can any friend throw light as when i can get medical papers. so many decisions in life pending...

At which visa post did you apply? Assuming you applied under skilled category, this will give you an idea as to how long it will take -

did u mean,, u got file no in MARCH 2004.... I applied in nov 2004 and still no response from CHC singapore office... but i know some other guys,,, who applied in sept 2004 have received IA and medical request... pls go for the query to your immigration office,,, ask for application status... by the way,,, where you applied,,, it matters.

Thanks for the information. I applied at New Delhi, India. Some other my friends who applied with me are too still waiting for the medical

i have applied n Aug 2004 at new delhi n updation in Dec 2008. how much more time will the visa office take to process my apliction.

nirmaljit as far as i knew, they are sending medical request on the behalf of updations received dates. So perhaps you may get medical around may 09. This is just prediction as they usually take 5 months after they get updation

The process is bound to slow down further for pre Feb 08 cases as the CHC will now select applications from two pools - pre Feb 08 and post Feb 08 cases. The overall yearly quota remains the same and post Feb 08 cases will get preference. This is my understanding of the changes in Canadian immigration system.
