Based on the physical presence calculator I am eligible to apply on Mar 11,2023. However I have a flying out of Canada on April 1. Can I apply on March 11,2023 or wait until I get back from my trip?

You can do either.

You can apply as soon as you are eligible. However recommend you not apply with exactly 1095 days but wait until you have some buffer days.

It doesn't matter. You are fine to travel.

Yes. You MUST have at least 1095 days at the time you apply. No credit for anything after that.

Well, think about whether you apply Online or Paper.
If you apply paper, and something is missing, you will get the whole package back.
However, trend now is that paper is quicker.

So, just think about it, your call, but applying before, with a few days more than the minimum required days needed is a good idea IMO.
