When to apply for NEXUS

good evening
I just became a canadian citizen. Wondering when i can apply for the nexus? It says on the website you need 3 years residency if you are a PR. My exact 3 years is coming up in February 2024. So does that mean I have to wait until that date or I can now apply since I am now a canadian citizen??? Appreciate any helpful clarifications to this thanks

If you are a citizen, there is no 3 year residency requirement. Apply now, don’t wait for Feb. 2024.

If you have received your Canadian passport, apply for Nexus right away.
Processing time is very very long. It take easily 6+ months before a conditional approval is granted
