When they will start processing our applications???

Really Stress down now, I don't know when they will start processing our application, who is going to ask them, why only we? if they can settle 25k refugees then, why they can not process 3 thousand application from old CEC applications, our life is nothing more than hell now, at least start 1 MR in a day, now somebody said its 18 months, now yes we will stick onto 18 month, ok is it from AOR or from receive date, CEC will keep its mystery on it as well ,if we don't say from receive or AOR will change that its from AOR so they will again get more time to play with our life,

I don't know what should I do, our life is messed up by CIC

there are some people on this forum, they use to fake MR why? why? what kind of mentality you have? what you get by doing this?

Have you contacted CIC to ask them what is going on ?
Have you contacted your member of parliament/new cic minister if you are in Canada ?
Have you sent the email to the journalists who were interested in hearing our story ?

If you have answered no to any of these questions then you have no right to complain. I am getting absolutely sick of this forum. People put up suggestions whether its email mp/journalist/new cic minister and hardly anyone responds. People are sitting on their asses doing nothing proactively , nothing will be done if people are not harrassing CIC and their MPS every single day.

Do something worthwhile than moan on this forum

What are you trying to accomplish with this rant? You are insulting people without any proof of what you're saying... and you're choosing to see only the negative. I advise you to read a little about what these refugees have to go through and maybe you will consider yourself lucky.
This self pity brings only a feeling of desperation and does not affect at all the facts. Try to focus on something else other than your pr. Do you have a family? Then focus on them and doing things like going out to wonderland or the theater. Go take some dance classes. Anything. You will get pr. Just later than you previously thought.
You can also consider applying to EE if you can. You will make sure you'll get your pr probably even faster. But please, stop it with this negativity. It is poisonous and completely useless.

I contacted CIC through MP they said, background is going on, how many days for background, if EE can get background in month why we can't get in 16 month? I sent email to liberal , I sent email to MP, no response from them,

what about journalists , they did their work, still CIC not caring

I am August 15 applicant. I just called CIC. She confirmed that the processing time i still 14 months. I asked why is it taking long for all the applicants who applied under the old system and the same process is quicker for EE. She said CIC is aware of the problem and is working on it. I am not very hopeful however, I guess you all should call to check status every couple of weeks and ask them why is it taking so long so at least the issue is highlighted. She said if you want to complaint I can give you the contact.

I said keep refugee and immigration different, I am not against refugee, half of November is gone and still you are considering bringing 25k ? it means you will put our dead work force there, at least some of us were getting RPRF , but if they start doin this , M sure, till next year, we are on stove, at least keep progress of 0.1% for us, but you all know, its equivalent of nothing , they stopped it , like somebody told them, just don't process old CEC files.

You can say "keep it separate" but that means nothing. EE and refugees have more urgency due to the fact that EE has a fixed deadline and Refugees are in dire situations. Even if you want to keep it separate, it is the same people who have to do every checks on OLD CEC, EE and refugees therefore it is all about allocating resources.

Obviously they have to meet the deadline on EE and deal with Refugees as fast as possible therefore they pulled resources from older programs which don't have a fixed deadline (even the 14 months is not a deadline as it is stated as just the time it took to process previous applications, not how long it will take to process future ones).

Nobody claims it is fair to us older applicants, but it is the hard facts.


Now to the point of people updating on their MR when they never posted before, not everyone enjoys posting rants. Until the MR request, you rarely have anything helpful to post (at least not helpful to others as your rant may be helpful to yourself). Those people have no obligations towards you, you do not pay them, you do not employ them, you do not even show them any respect, why they would put any extra effort replying to your post is beyond me to be honest...

All you do is discourage those people from posting or updating the forum, all you do is foster an environment where complaining is the only post accepted here, if that is the forum you prefer good for you, but that is not the goal of this one. The process is hard enough on everyone not to get dragged even deeper in depression by posts and attitude such as yours.


PS: because MAYBE some of the people posting good news are not honest, you insult all of them with not the even any evidence? The words you used to describe others should clearly be used to describe you instead, your frustration does not excuse your attitude here.

Old CEC applicants should all re-apply for different stream. Problem solved.
