Hi,

my PCC was dated August 19th,2008. i sent my initial app to CIO,NS on Oct 7th, they received on Oct 9th. but my app was returned back asking for more details on my job description and duties. app was returned on nov 25th. i sent my initial app back to CIO,NS on Dec 2nd, they received on Dec 4th.

if i calculate 3months from the date i apply for first time, my PCC holds good. but if i calculate from the second time i applied, my PCC is no more valid as it is older than 90days.
so, what should i do now?
please suggest

I posted the same question in another thread too.

Wow, thanks Ankit for the clarification.

hope it will help lots of applicant (Including me and balu0427) who are having misconception like PCC has 3 month expiry date.
and need to renew it if it pass more then 90 dyas from the date of issue. (if that was the case, PCC itself comes with some expiry date:)

thanks a million for your analysis and posting it.

any other senior member who can double confirm it??????

Regards

Ankit is 100% accurate

as per EG7

You may begin to gather your police certificates before submitting your application to the CIO. Although you will not submit the police certificate to the CIO, you must be ready to submit them to a visa office if your application is recommended for further assessment at a Canadian visa office. When you submit the application to the visa office please ensure that your certificates were not issued more than three months before you submitted your application to the CIO.

I hope it is very much clarified now.

Cheers

@Balu0427

Balu I am afraid that in your case they may ask for the PCC again as it is more than three months older than accepted application. Though nowhere it is mentioned that date should be with in three months of accepted application but to avoid delay late in cycle I will advise you to request for new PCC

I understand it is tedious process byt my friend we need to leave no stone unturned. I wish you all the best.
