I can imagine that there will be some IT jobs on the list of 38, if it isn't software engineer specifically then maybe something similar you can qualify for. Alberta H1 is not your only other option. You can also go on a temporary work permit and get PR through PNP. Just a bit more hassle to get a job offer first.
