When I renew Visa, can I reuse the old study permit?

Recently, I've applied and been confirmed that my new study permit is sent to me (but I have to wait for 6 weeks to receive it.)

Thus, I wonder if we could use the old study permit to renew the visa?

Because I'm leaving Canada in 30 June, and I hear that renew visa outside Canada may take longer than inside.

Please help me clarify that.

You can use your previous study permit as long as it's valid for renewing your visa. However, your visa will be issued only till the expiry date of that study permit.

Please don't apply outside Canada.
I have seen 2 cases in this forum. Who got their application rejected.
So apply inside Canada .

what is processing time of application??? what i hear that modtly times are within month so u still have plenty of time!!!

Nadeem_jee, The progress will take 28 to complete.

However, I afraid that it will take time to send the visa through me by mail. Moreover, do I have to send my passport to the Canadian Office, so they could print the visa on my passport?

Anybody know how long will it take for the Canadian Government office to mail us the study permit?

I applied on March 3, and received a confirmation on March 16. After waiting for a month and 5 days, I decided to call the Call Center and an agent said that my study permit had been sent to me on April 25. I wonder how long will it usually take ?

I'm so nervous now!

And aman singh, even though me study permit has been approved, my visa can be still rejected?
