When & how does CHC ISB (Pak) contact you? What are my chances and general info?

I sent in my docs on the 23rd of april. They were received by the CHC on the 26th of april.
Q1)When can I expect to hear back from them for the medical test? Do they inform by, mail, email or telephone.

i'm going for undergrad in engineering, got into many uni's in the UK and Canada and i finally decided on this medium sized well reputed uni in Canada. MY OFFER IS CONDITIONAL. Ielts score-8 + GCE english A. Did SAT/ACT/SAT2. good grades. Lived abroad. healthy financial statements even though I got a scholarship worth CAD$19,000 . I'll get my final grades on which my offer is based on the 19th of august 2011.

Q2)Will I get my visa after I meet the conditions or before it? my course starts on September 4th.

my father applied for immigration to canada in 2003 when we moved to back to PK. He's still based abroad with this multinational corporation and travels a lot. However since then, he has no intention of immigrating since we've settled here pretty well. And due to the economic recession in North America as well.

Q3)Will this immigration application have a negative effect on my student visa application?

Well Haider i am also in the similar situation even i got a scholarship worth CA$ 16 K at a Canadian University located in Ottawa for an undergraduate "Bachlors of Commerce Concentration in Finance" and even my Dad applied for the Canadian Immigration in 2005 i do have a strong Financial Background i have shown around US$ 45K in my personnel account plus my dad is sponsoring me therefore his financial documents are apart from that of mine.The most important thing is i applied in April my self havent heard anything from CHC-Islamabad as yet therefore just hope for the best i guess,well to make a correction only if you are a A'level student currently the result will be available on 13th August as far as i remember which i saw on my statement of entry and to which University are you going to ?.

hey there!

You're going through pretty much the same situation as me. When did you apply and when were your documents received? Mine were received on the 26th of April. Still waiting.
Regarding the A level result date, you're probably a Cambridge student right? I'm doing mine through Edexcel and the result is mostly around the 19th of August. Not sure about this year but it'll be around the 19th.
I'm going ahead with Queen's University in Kingston ontario. Not as recognized as UofToronto but it has smaller class sizes, a better student to faculty ratio, plus its not in a big city, etc, etc.

Where did you get in?

I got into almost every University in which i applied in except for Mcgill but i accepted offer of Carleton University.You are 100% right i am Cambridge Student well i dont have a clue when did CHC-Islamabad recieved my Documents as i havent recieved any sorf of acknowledgement from there side its more like an ignorant reaction....i was just wondering what documents did you submited when applying for the study permit because when i went to TCS to send my documents they returned my previous passport except for the current one by saying that we only have the instruction to take the current passport even though on there website its mentioned to submit all the previous passports.

i got into every too, withdrew from waterloo since since the general first year wasnt available. I submitted everything mentioned on the site, plus an affidavit. i went to fedex. they were like we dont want these computerized forms just fill in this other form with pen. Plus they wanted an affidavit so I came back the next day. Had a traffic violation so had to go to G6, now TCS was closer so i went there. lol. They took the computerized forms plus everything mentioned on the site and my old passports since they had some visas on it. You can check when your documents were received from the visatronix website.

anyways i got a call today at around 5. they said i need to pick up my documents. I hope its just a medical call. I'm pretty worried.
