So I applied through vfs and just got an email from them.. And then I went and collected my passport which had the LOI attached. But I didn't get any call from them for medical..... So is it that I now have to go for medical by myself? Cus how do people otherwise get a call for medical????? Does the immi officer at POE have ur medical records as well? I don't know what's happening.. All answers will be appreciated pls. Thanks.

You got your visa :) so no need of medicals now. As you've traveled to Canada within the last 12 months, I believe your medical was waived by the Visa Officer. Everyone receives their medical call before visa approval.

Hey so how do people receive their medical call? And is their passport returned to them then? And I travelled on a TRv in July but I didn't give any medical then either!

People get their medical call first. Then the VO checks the results and requests for the Passport. Once the visa is issued they return the passports. In your case you might have been lucky to have your medicals waived off.

The following link will help you clear your doubt : http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/study-arriving.asp.

Also, you don't need to worry as the immigration officer can track your case by the UCI allotted to you on the visa and study permit. It's not your fault that the VO waived your medicals. So chill :D
