When can we start work on a study permit?

Hi all

So my girlfriend is going to start a course in January while on a study permit. I am her common law partner which will allow me to get an open work permit.

My question is, if we move to Canada in say November, and the course starts in January, how long before the course starts will I be able to start working? It would be nice to get settled with accommodation and employment before she starts the course. All I can find online is that I have working rights for the duration of her study. Also how long after her studies are finished are we allowed to be and work in country?

She can start working after her course started. Lets say Jan 07 her first day of school, she can start working from Jan 07th. Not before though.

I read that the student permit runs for 90 days after the studies end. Are you saying you are not allowed to work in this 90 days?
