When and outland application is approved how long do you then have before you should (have o) settle in Canada? Should we expect to move straight away or do they allow some months to finish up in the country we are currently living in (Denmark)?

The date you have to move by depends on when your medicals were received. It is normally one year from the date received (at least it was for my wife). So depending on when your application is finish, you may have months or just weeks (or even days!).

The absolute limit for "LANDING" is the expiry date on the COPR document. As stated above, this depends mainly on medical expiry dates.

However, that does not commit you to "settling" until you are ready to do so. You can do what I did, which is to "land" as soon as you are able, to gain PR status, and then return home to close down your affairs before making the final settlement move.

If you are accompanied by a Canadian citizen sponsor, you can take as long as you like, as this meets the residency obligations. Having said this, a Canadian sponsor would have declared intent to return to Canada to reside, so you need to be a bit cautious.

So, how long would I have to close my affairs? Is this allowed, or an they "catch you" by not living with ur sponsor right away? I need to give 2 months notice to quit my job, and if I get my CoPR after October 13th I am screwed. Although, guess I can resign and wait til the last few days before it expires to go and land.

I really don't think that there is a limit.. We will be at least 6 months between landing and settling.
I popped over to Canada for a few days to complete the landing and came back.
However, my Canadian wife is here with me and I don't have "Condition 51" applied.
