What's the typical time of processing after taking biometrics?

I'm applying for visitor visa. I have just made appointment to submit my biometrics two weeks from now, which seems like the earliest date available.
I'm just wondering how long does it usually take from the point I take my fingerprints until getting my passport with visa back?

Ideally, 2-3 weeks.

It all depends on your country and the processing time. Have you submitted your passport with your initial application?

I'm applying in the United States. I am going to submit my passport when I take the biometrics.

Assuming yours is a well-supported application with no refusal issues, a biometric validation notice and passport request should follow within 24 to 48 hours after you’re ten-printed. A notice for passport collection could take up to five working days, depending on location. That’s generally the fastest timeline for a low-risk applicant.
