What's the difference between ATIP and Case Specific Enquiry?

Please someone explain.


If someone requests ATIP, what should the person request? Should he say that "Please provide the current status of my application" or what else he should say? Something like "Please provide GCMS notes?"

ATIP gets you the detailed CIC notes pertaining to your file. CSE is simply an inquiry that goes to an agent who essentially gives you the same service as if you called into CIC except via email. It's just a status update.
