Hi, I am from Nigeria and I studied Building Technology. I graduated in 2016 and have rarely practiced in my field.

However, I have businesses both in logistics and crypto doing very well.

I also have a business consulting business that needs websites or an online presence.

I have not paid myself at any point, although my business takes care of me and pays my staff regularly, but it is not like I have dedicated an amount for myself monthly as expected.

My issue is

  1. what's the best way to apply for Canadian immigration?
  2. How do I prove that funds I have? or related

I'm new to all these. I really need your guidance.

I appreciate.

Oh! I have done a lot of research, and I know pretty well about Express Entry and what it takes - at some point however, I have to provide proof of funds as required by Express Entry.

Now, since I have my own business and I rarely pay myself - that is my confusion on how I can make such a claim.

Also, if I plan to apply for a "Start-Up Visa", none of my businesses has external funding as required.

So if you have done research for EE, then what is your CRS score with your ECA and IELTS. The mandatory documents explain what is need for self employed people to prove their NOC.

If you are going the SUV route then you need a business incubator, and need to meet eligibility requirements.

Without paid work experience, Express Entry is not an option. Since you haven't paid yourself consistently, Express Entry is out.

The Start Up Visa is in fact your best option based on the info you've provided. To qualify, you will need to convince one of the designated Canadian organizations to support and fund your business idea.
