Good day! I recently received my passport back from IRCC, and it has the stamp W-1. What should I do next? A consultant told me that I just need to go to the border, but the CIC guide states that I should exit and re-enter Canada. What should I really do?

You meant to say that you received a Temporary resident visa on a work permit. I am sure your visa is issued for multiple entry. There is nothing else to do. You can now leave Canada and return using that visa based on the validity stated on the counterfoil.

Do you have the hard copy of your work permit on hand?
Also you have your TRV counterfoil on your passport?
When you apply for your TRV which application did you use IMM5257?
Is this your first work permit in Canada?

Going to the border and exit and re-entering Canada is the same thing. If you are activating a work permit, you need to exit Canada and re-enter (e.g. flagpole at a land border).

Good day! We went to Coutts border and did the flagpole. The border officer informed us that our work permit is still in process, so she couldn't take any action regarding it. It was quite strange because we already have letter of introduction.
