Hello i have a question for you hope you could help me...
In the Application to Sponsor, Sponsorship Agreement and Undertaking (IMM 1344) there's a question: "have you ever use any other name?"
my wife (the sponsor) hes a chinese legal name which she uses for all her legal documents (PR card, bank account etc..) but she also has an english name that she use more frequent in daily life. nothing official.
At first we didn't think it's very important to mention it in the question above but many of our pictures, greeting cards and text/skype messages has her english name.
do you think we should say she has the english name even though it's not official or signed anywhere or it doesn't matter and the officers can understand by themselves?

oh another question not really related:
my wife (sponsor) need an employer letter. should it be very formal with the title of the company or a detailed print with her bosses signature is enough?
ps.
we live in B.C & we do Inland if it matters.

Thank you sooooo much for your help.

Would definitely add a note that states that she uses an english name. Just to not cause any confusion.

I got a letter on company letterhead with managers signature and it was fine.

Good luck!

Hi raabhim,

The question is :

"have you ever use any other name?" = YES .

You wrote:

"chinese legal name which she uses for all her legal documents (PR card, bank account etc"

You should write that name.

If she uses her legal Chinese name as her official name on the forms, she should definitely list her English name in the answer to "Have you ever used any other names?" There is no reason to not mention it; this is not a question where one answer is better than the other. In particular since the English name is used in some of your relationship evidence.
