Seriously, what is going on with the recent draws? Last time they touched anywhere near the 450 mark was on feb 24. People were saying things will be different in July but they just copy/pasted the draw figures from last time. I bet everyone in the 450-470 range is used to getting disappointed every 2 weeks by now.

They're processing a chunk of refugee and PNP applications. There seems to be some evidence that things might get a lot better come August - September ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vaLvLG-6n3k )

Hang in there.

Hi,

Can anyone tell me is other things are also considered for express entry. I calculated and my total CRS came to 411 but I am in USA for 2+ years and also hold Maters degree. Is these things considered by CIC?

What's going on is that the draws are being managed as CIC and the Canadian government want them to be managed.

"People" have no idea what they are talking about and are just guessing about future draws.

Not sure what kind of answer you were expecting...

You can do certain things to improve your CRS score. Such as your english and correspondingly your IELTS score.

Ok - that was funny.

Remember that youtube video of that immigration officer speaking during an immigration fair?

Well so far his claim is consistent in that low draws are expected until September. ..after which he claims the cut off will drop significantly.

Good thing September is less than 2 months away :)

Do we even know he's a legit IRCC officer? or just some random guy saying some thing everyone wants to hear?

He says so at the beginning of the seminar. If you watch the whole thing ( have you? ) you can clearly make out that he's not faking.

He made you think he's not faking huh? All it means is that he is a good speaker and successfully manipulated you to agree with him, nothing more. And yes, he is not a CIC officer.

And I am Superman.

Yes, I did watch the clip, and I'm not convinced at all.

No kidding!!! Sitting on my 466 points, which I thought were good. But apparently not good enough. It's really frustrating.
Also I'm waiting for my LMIA to be processed, which might take another 4-6 weeks. That immigration process time is challenging my patience but there is nothing that we can do except dealing with it and stay positive!

By your logic, you also don't believe Justin Trudeau now runs the government in Canada, because you're Superman

He is indeed representing IRCC at that seminar, but it's not him who makes the decision on draws.
