Have you been assigned to a VO? Received AOR2 letter?
I am not really sure, I guess VO means Visa officer ?. First my sponsor applied from Canada to bring me in, there was letters sent to her, there was visa officer number not a name, I guess that's what are you asking about ?

After she is approved as sponsor, I got an email saying to create an account and link schedule A document, more letters came to my account, the last one was the medical request. that is all what I got till now.

Visa Office......
Mississauga
AOR2 is when they tell the applicant in which visa office your application is going to be processed.

I guess AOR2 means when visa office abroad handles my case, not sure about that too, cuz when they ask me for more documents it came from a processing center in canada so I mailed the documents to Canada.

Hey just wondering if you have had any updates on your application since this first post? We are in the same boat as you just passed the medical a few weeks ago, if you are in the final stages I would love to know the timeline. Thanks!

HI @stewart2412 Its still the same, the last update Medical Passed, nothing els yet :(

Dont worry to much. After medical, they will send a confirmation letter that your app will be forwarded to your country of residence for further process. After that, if applicable, they will ask for additional docs. Once the docs have been forwarded to your visa office, its a big waiting game, might take about 4-6mos,

Hi @stewart2412 still the same thing, its been long time you are right, but I was looking at people who applied almost the same time, lots of them still haven't heard anything and I looked at the people who applied before me by ~ 3 months they just got some response, hence, I am going to give it till June, also, by June I will complete 12 months and as per CIC website the processing time is 12 months, if its not completed by then, we can contact them and ask about our situation. keep calm till June :) good luck

Hi, just wondering if you have already landed, or not.

I'm a Canadian Citizen sponsoring my spouse out land.

On June 20th 2018, I got an email from CIC that they have revived our application on May 22nd 2018 and asked us to link our application to our account. On June 26, 2018 they asked us to upload IMM5669 once again because there was a field missing. On July 3rd they sent a Medical request. then on July 5th I got an email saying : "We are pleased to inform that you have met the federal eligibility requirements as a sponsor.
The Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s) will be sent to a visa office for
processing. The visa office will be selected based on your relative’s home address and the
requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. A confirmation letter will be sent to you
once the application is sent to the visa office, informing you of the visa office selected. This
confirmation letter will also provide you with instructions on how to submit an undertaking application
to the Provincial government."

Today is July 11th and they have changed the status on my application to:

Review of medical results "You passed the medical exam"

I thought everything was happening fast and I had hopes that my spouse will land before December 2018. However, after reading your post, I lost all my hopes since you were still waiting after almost 9 months...

anybody else in the same situation?

Thanks
