What would be the recommended first step: applying for Outland Spousal Permanent Residence or a Visit Visa?

I read that it's not a good idea to travel outside Canada for a long time while waiting for Spousal Permanent Residence (PR). Is this rule only for Inland Spousal PR applications, or does it also apply to Outland Spousal applications as well?

I got my PR in May 2024, but I was outside Canada (India) for 8 months as soon as I got PR. I got married recently and came back to Canada. I will stay here for a month and will visit my wife in India next month.

Now, I want to apply both Spousal PR and a visit visa for my wife.

Should I apply for Spousal PR or a visit visa first?

Can I travel outside Canada for a long time after applying for Outland Spousal PR?

Will it cause problems for my Spousal PR application if I'm outside Canada most of the time since getting my PR?

My wife is currently a student. I'm unsure how to demonstrate proof of funds, as she doesn't have a steady income. If I transfer funds into her account, will the visa officer be satisfied that she can support herself financially, despite being a student? Alternatively, should I complete the visit visa application indicating that I will be sponsoring her financially? Or, would it be more advisable to show that her father has sufficient funds to support her visit?

Please share your advice. Thank you!

-PRs who sponsor are expected to remain in Canada throughout the process, 'short trips ok.' No definition of short trips. Consider < a month.

-I dont know that there's any perfect advice regarding when to apply for TRV, etc.

-The inland/outland distinction refers to the applicant, not the sponsor. PRs cannot sposnor while residing abroad.
