What will happen next?

i have couriered my application package on 16th of this month, i checked with my courier it is delivered, but i have not received any confirmation from immigration office, now im confused, what will happen next? will i get any confirmation? how soon? and by email or regular mail?

You will not hear anything till they start processing your application. They will then determine whether you are eligible for further action. If not or if the application is incomplete in any regard, it will be be returned to you.

No - you won't receive a confirmation from CIC that your application was received.

Correct.

If you have chosen to pay by credit card, you might find out earlier, if they have charged your card.

They do, after they have begun processing your application and assigned you an identification number. Till then grin and bear it !
