I am a US citizen, married to a Canadian citizen. I have been living here for almost 6 mos at a time, and going back to the US before my tourist stay expires, and staying several weeks. I have no visas. I have to go back to the US in a couple of weeks by car, and I am not sure what to say at the border. Do I say I am married? Do I mention that my application for permanent residence is in process? Or do I just try to give minimal info without lying?

Well, usually going back into the US, I don't have any problems. However be hinest, chances are they already know. They have typed up a book associated with my passport. I tell them I was visiting with my husband and we have an application in for me to come to Canada. I think you will have a harder time coming back to Canada after your visit.
