What to do about health insurance card?

Hi all:

I got PR as federal skilled worker & planning to go Toronto in March. But in my first visit I can’t stay more than 5 weeks in Toronto as I’ve to get back to my home country. Probably I’ll go to Toronto in August again & stay for 3 months or so. In such position what should I do about my health insurance card? What is the best way to handle this?

You can't get a health insurance card in Toronto until you've lived there 3 months. You can have private insurance or travel insurance for emergencies and if you have to go to the doctor for non-emergencies, you can just pay.

Does anyone know how much private insurance would cost me?
