You should ask in the relevant forum. Sponsoring a spouse for someone who is already a PR or citizen - which is what the family class sponsorship is about - is a very different circumstance.
At minimum, yes, I believe it would add additional processing time to your ongoing application as the (new) spouse would have to be cleared. Beyond that, I don't know details of those programs and don't wish to misspeak.
