NOC 2283 Main Duties:
Develop and document software testing plans
Install software and hardware and configure operating system software in preparation for testing
Execute, analyze and document results of software application tests and information and telecommunication systems tests
Develop and implement software and information system testing policies, procedures and scripts.



What percentage of Main Duties of NOC should match my Job Reference letter?

The problem is my previous company (TCS) will allow only 5 duties to be mentioned in the reference letter and TCS will issue the reference letter only Once.

So please advice as I have only one chance to get Reference letter.

Hello,

firstly dont copy the text from cic website on your reference letter. Rather try to get a reference letter which has duties similar to the ones mentioned.

if your previous employer is able to only list 5 duties, then pick the top 5 duties that match the NOC. there is no fixed percentage in terms of duties to NOC matching. However, as CIC says, majority of your duties you do should fall under the NOC. Majority can be 50%, 60% or even 100%..

How did you get TCS to agree for providing a reference letter? When I asked my HR, she said it wont be provided..Please guide me on what could be done..what is it that you did to get your HR agree for reference letter?

..Im also stuck in same situation...HR has refused...
 
Ya..make a letter get it signed by supervisor and colleagues..and submit..Im yet to submit so fingers crossed..people on this forum are saying it is valid
 
Yeah but I dont understand how the Visa Officer will know if the person signing it is really your supervisor or team lead? I can be forging the signatures or getting the signature by friends at TCS, my main question is how do they verify it ? has someone said about this on any threads?

1. They can check places such as Linkedin.
2. They can call or email your company to verify that the person is working there.

I m asking you this to just confirm, whether this has happened in past to you or someone, or you think this is the general procedure?

In the GCMS notes, they always mention that they have checked existence of company website or made a phone call to the employer. I'd imagine the process of verification of employment of your manager (if IRCC has any doubts) would be similar.

Take their visiting card/emp id card...rest I think if all TCSers are applying by this method..They would know that there is no other option for us as well..
