i will be living in downtown toronto...like eaton centre is a few mins walking...lol.

though i would prefer a small town and lots of green :(
my hubby unfortunately loves concrete *oops* i mean the city life...
so i can't convince him...maybe a few years down the line when we have kids he would rethink the idea and we can move out to an area with more green..

My husbands family is mostly in London/St. Thomas, which is where we'd like ideally to be.
But, it's looking more and more like his job will take him to Waterloo/Kitchener area.

I'm originally from Ottawa so we'll be settling down there to be close to family and friends.

From reading the previous posts it looks like Ladysmith's population will be doubling soon! Just kidding of course ;D I have a great friend who lives with his family in Ladysmith and I've visited them there a few times. Lovely place!

Jealous of the folks moving to Nova Scotia as well. My wife and I spent a week at a cottage in Hubbards a couple of years ago and we can't wait to visit again!

We are planning on settling in Calgary, Alberta. I lived there a couple of years while on a WHP, fell in love with it all (including a canuck!) so it's time to head back all together as a family. Hopefully very soon... .the suspense is tough.

Anyone else hoping to go to Calgary?

Check out this video on Canada. This is what we are going through all this for...besides being with our loved ones of course. Beautiful pictures.

We are planning on moving to Alberta. Though not sure where yet. I have applied for my teaching certificate there. So it will depend on where I can get a job.

I will be in Winnipeg,Manitoba. I am currently buying mittens, scarfs and such things for the long, winters :) But all in all, I've heard that its a great place to live.

Buy them in Canada, European clothing is not usually good enough, plus there is a better selection of "real" winter clothing here.

My partner and I are going to Moose Jaw, Sk. for two to three years while I finish another degree and for her to get her educational qualifications upgraded to Canadian standards then we are moving Saskatoon for about 4-5 years for her to finish law school. Then when she finishes we want to buy an acreage/small farm outside of Moose Jaw or anywhere between Moose Jaw and Regina.

Thank you for the advice it's good, winters in my home country are milder so it will take some getting used to.

I'm going to Stony Plain, just outside Edmonton, AB. I grew up a bit further out but want to be closer to the city...just not too close. I moved to the UK when I was 9 and am desperate to get back home!! My brother is in Yellowknife (considered it, but waaaay to cold despite the beauty of the area!) and my sister is also in Stony with her family so we have support ready for us!!
Wherever you all end up I'm sure it will be wonderful...I hope you all have happy futures

Living in Camrose, AB at the moment but we are planning on moving to Calgary in the new year. Long term goal is to be living in Banff in the next few year its beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeautiful!!

It is not too bad, not as wet and horrible as a UK winter.

I'll be moving to Edmonton, AB. Ahh, the good life. A great side of the country to live in (IMO). A few short hours from Jasper/Banff, a.k.a heaven on Earth.
