hi,
i live in Turkey and i've been working as a Social Worker for 12 years in child protection and family services. alongside the Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, i have the Master's Degree in Women's Studies which is a quite close department to my profession.

my aim is doing my job in Canada. but what must be the correct order? undoubtedly there're numerous steps to be taken but the main stages are, as far as i learned, first i should apply for credentials to CASW, if i obtain an affirmative reply, then i must get the required score from IELTS. and then i should apply for Federal Skilled Worker Visa (for ITA and PR). is it right? would you please at least confirm these main stages?

actually, i saw a reply in this Forum that's written by a member who's called "entemaria" in 2011:

《《 IF YOU ARE A SOCIAL WORKER AND IF YOU NEED TO REGISTER IN ANY PROVINCE IN CANADA AS SOCIAL WORKER, it is a SIMPLE TASK

1. GATHER YOUR DOCUMENTS FROM THE SCHOOL OR UNIVERSITIES WHERE YOU STUDIED
2. DOCUMENT IT PROPERLY... BE VERY CAREFUL WHILE YOU DO YOUR DOCUMENTATION!!!!
3. DECIDE WHICH PROVINCE YOU ARE MIGRATING
4. SEND IT TO TO CANADIAN ASSOCIATION OF SOCIAL WORKERS, OTTAWA, ONTARIO, CANADA
5. WAIT FOR A MONTH OR TWO... YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR POSITIVE REPLY!
6. BE HAPPY!
7. GET YOUR PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR WORK PERMIT
8. APPLY TO THE PROVINCIAL REGISTRATION BODY
9. BE HAPPY AND WAIT.
10 YOU WILL RECEIVE IT BY MAIL 》》

is this order right? if so, is it still valid? thank you for reading and spending time with me.
best regards

Would be looking at the licensing body for social workers to see how/if you can get licensed.
