Hi All,

I have read a lot in the forum that there may be significant changes in the express entry process post 2015 elections in Canada subject to the party which comes in power, however, I was not able to find in detail what the changes could be.... could anyone share if they have the info of what different political parties are intending?

Thanks, VSG

from what I understand., currently conservatives are in power and they are less inclined to accept immigrants in, and they have made the rules for immigration strict.

Liberals on the other hand are more inclined to velcome immigrants in, and should make it easier to come and stay in canada.

from what I am hearing, people in Canada are a bit frustrated with all the new rules and regulations conservatives are pushing so there is a realistic possibility they will not reelect them again.

I know for a fact that it was easier to immigrate before, as a lot of my friends are already in canada, and I know our quolifications and skills are light years better then what they had, but at this time we can't immigrate.

I am really hoping the conservatives will not get realected, as that party hasn't done favours to any country..(again, from my personal stand)

Thank you Yelena for your response. I did read somewhere that there has been a lot of negative publicity been generated in Canada regarding immigrants taking up jobs intended for Canadians as well being a strain on local resources and infrastructure! If the voters buy into this which is general human nature (bowing to seize mentality), don't you think this strengthens Conservative's hands? I am not sure about their other policies..

I think anyone in Canada that falls under one of these categories will definitely want conservatives gone:

1. business owners. From what I hear they have complicated doing business, with more regulations and generally higher costs of business administration, fees etc., not to mention highiring workers

2. anyone who is not canadian by birth. and lets face it, a huge percentage of people in canada have immigrated there at some point in the last two generations
