what kind of prove of residency they ask for school admission?

hello, we are landing in toronto on december 4, 2015 as permanent resident, so our six year old boy is french educated and we want to send him to a public french school, we will submit our supportive documents (being francophone and..) anyway our issue is the following, we have a friend who will offer us her furnished apartment in toronto for around 6 month till we settle since she is out of canada for this period of time and so we can have time to find work and look for another apartment ... so what kind of residential prove we have to submit for the school since there will be no rent or a lease paper (she is being so nice by offering her personal flat) she will write a letter and sign it that she is offering her place, is it enough for the school? she already have heat and electricity and water bills by her name and she pays them through the bank we only have to subscribe to the internet and cable tv can the subscription bill be a prove of residency for the school? or if we ask a bank statement when we open an account could do it? plz help us to figure this out. thank you

Since you are QSW, shouldn't you be settling in the province of Quebec instead of Toronto, Ont.?

hello, yes u r right we r QSW but since i am pregnant now we preferred to settle near our relatives and Friends in Toronto for now and my husband has more job opportunities over there (his friends will help out in this matter).

1. Contact the school and ask them what proof they require/accept (PR card/COPR yes, & proof of address - which *could* be a letter from your landlady plus bills/bank statement with address, but only the school will be able to tell you)
